The second season of Tokyo Ghoul.
Warning: minimum spoilers ahead
Tokyo Ghoul √A (pronounced as root A) continues the story of the Tokyo Ghoul anime adaptation. Episode 1 specifically, tells us what happened after Kaneki's hair turned white and concludes the Jason raid. The fights that were left unfinished last season were picked up and finished. New mysterious characters show up and are keeping a close look at the events, and finally, Kaneki ultimately decides where to go next.
The opening sequence does not spoil anything that will happen in the season, and the slow (creepy?) music might just make some viewers decide that skipping the opening song is a better idea than watching the whole of it. Fights scenes were good and well executed, and although there is the usual gore, there are no scenes that were brutal enough to get censoring. There may be something off with the vibe that √A gives as there is not much hype in Episode 1 that may make you dedicate yourself to the series (Probably). It's more of a bridge to connect the two seasons -- a Tokyo Ghoul Episode 13 perhaps. We just have to wait for the next episode to make us feel that the story has finally moved on.
Basically, this series is a must watch if you are:
